About me

Hey! I’m Cara, a super relaxed wedding photographer based in Devon.

Lets get to know each other as we are going to spend the day as friends.

I TRULY CARE THAT YOU HAVE THE BEST FREAKING PHOTOS TO REMEMBER YOUR DAY BY.

I work hard so that you don’t feel like you are being photographed. You will just be you, enjoying every moment of your day. Soaking in the love from all the people around you. It’s the real stuff that matters and thats where the beauty lies.

What makes me

Being outdoors, swimming in rivers, late evening barbeques on the beach, singing, big hills, long walks, dancing, festivals, family, friends. These are the things that make me.

I love the mad experiences, the adventures that life throws at us, meeting interesting people and exploring new places. I’ve lived and travelled in quite a few places, and had some epic road trips.

I’ve been photographing weddings now for 10 years and I still cry at the little moments, the interactions and emotions between the people that love you.

I live on the edge of Dartmoor in our self-built eco barn, with my fellow shell-collecting husband and our two amazing/demanding kids and crazy pupster.

SOME COOL SHIT I'VE DONE...

I'M SCOTTISH

and I grew up on a 400 acre farm in Scotland with lots of animals and freedom. Devon is my chosen home and I have been here almost as long.

NEUTERED ANIMALS IN THE AMAZON JUNGLE.

In a previous life I was a vet. We saw pink dolphins, caimans, tapirs, fished for piranhas and camped out under mosquito nets in the jungle (whilst having nightmares about snakes and pumas).

HONEYMOON ROAD TRIP

an epic 16 months driving through South America, from Ushuaia to Cartagena (and back).

HIKED 600KM ALONE

on the Bibbulmun track in South Australia.

HIKED TORRES DEL PAINE CIRCULAR ROUTE

for 9 days with views of turquoise lakes and glaciers, with one of the most epic days hiking ever over the pass to Glacier Grey.

CLIMBED UP THE SCAFFOLDING OF NOTRE DAME

Cathedral at midnight and sat amongst the gargoyles overlooking Paris (even though I am petrified of heights), a memory I will never forget.

HIKED to 5200M IN PERU'S CORDILLERA BLANCA

in early pregnancy. Wow that felt hard.

DRIVEN ROUTE 66 AND MEXICO TO COSTA RICA

My first epic adventure.

STOOD ON THE EDGE OF AN ACTIVE VOLCANO...

Volcan Villarica, in Chile. It erupted a year later!

I HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO LEAD AN ADVENTUROUS LIFE

but in winter you will find me being much more boring, in front of a cosy fire, watching a good movie. Great films and books really inspire me.
